Few objects symbolize the American West like free ranging, wild mustangs. Observing them on their native range allows you to feel and enjoy their freedom. Three bands exhibit traits from the orginial Spanish Conquistador horses. May they always run wild!

Wild Horses
Saturday, July 2nd, 2011Saskatchewan, Canada
Tuesday, November 16th, 2010It’s mind boggling to see tens of thousands of geese and ducks covering the Saskatchewan skies! For nearly two and one-half hours birds seemingly lined up to land in our decoys producing amazing flight images.
Grand Teton National Park
Friday, October 8th, 2010Is there a more photogenic site than Grand Teton National Park in the autumn? Spectacular mountain vistas coupled with colorful autumn leaves makes landscape photography a joy – so many angles provide nearly unlimited compositions. Accomodating moose, elk, bears and small critters almost seem willing to pose. It’s understandable why so many people enjoy GTNP at this time of the year.
Alaska!
Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009Having lived in Alaska for fifteen years, I was anxious to return with my digital camera. One week in Denali National Park was somewhat frustrating but yielded cloud free photographs of sunrises and sunsets on Mt. McKinley. One week in Lake Clark National Park produced hundreds of photographs of those amazing Alaskan coastal brown bears fishing for salmon.
Wondrous Yellowstone
Monday, August 3rd, 2009I just returned from four days in Yellowstone. Yellowstone was her usual wondrous self. Although I’ve never gotten a good grizzly image, this trip I had great sessions every day with grizzlies. Black bears were so plentiful I was very selective which ones I photographed. Mike Coil and I hiked into Trout Lake twice to photograph a mother otter and her two pups as they swam, played and fished. I hiked into several water falls and hot springs I’ve always wanted to see but never had the chance. The wild flowers changed the color of the landscape. A black wolf fifty yards away was too camera shy but thrilling to see. Doe mule deer still had their spotted fawns with them while the buck’s velvet covered antlers are approaching full growth. It’s a beautiful world and Yellowstone National Park is right at the top!
